Of all the years of which I can remember clearly (almost all my memories are hazy somehow when I am not in one of my morbid moods), 2012 was a year like no other. It was unlike all my rollercoaster years that just slipped from my grasp every time I tried to hold on to the reins and everything would just spin out of my control. No, 2012 was subtly magical. I got more than I bargained for. It wasn't that I had no expectation to start with. It was more of: what I wanted, I went and did it.
So after over 20 years with the same miniature broken Christmas tree, I bought a 6' Royal Douglas fir. I have always wanted a Christmas tree taller than me for as long as I can remember. With cash recognition I received from work, I redeemed vouchers which paid for my tree decor. How cool is that? I only had to fork out MYR$12 to complete my tree.
For me, the new year has already started since the 1st of December. I always start my year in December because the month is filled with lots of joy and merrymaking. How else could be better than starting the year on a high note?
Do you notice the lack of morbid posts? I do.
I miss your morbid posts! But that's just me :) Happy New Year!
